Question: Lifetime Maps - Terms and Conditions
  Answer:

Lifetime Maps

For all lifetime map subscriptions, lifetime refers to the useful lifetime of the device, considered to be 3 (three) years from the date of the first use. For all lifetime map subscriptions, you will receive map data updates when such updates are made available on Magellan’s website during the device’s useful life for that compatible Magellan device. “Device’s useful life” refers to the period during which the device has all required technical capabilities, including sufficient memory capacity and current operating system, to download and use current map data. A device’s useful life is considered to be a maximum of 3 (three) years from the date of the first use. A device will be considered past its useful life if it is more than 3 years old or if no updates have been downloaded for more than 2 years (24 months).

Additional Terms & Conditions

The map updates available under the subscription will be updates to the same geographic area included with your device when it was originally purchased. In some instances, your device might not have sufficient memory remaining for you to load an update to the map data, in which case you will need to either (a) select reduced map data coverage for your updates, or (b) purchase separately a microSD™/SD™ card (if applicable) and load all or a portion of the map data coverage for your updates to the card and insert the card into the microSD/SD card slot contained in your device. If neither of the measures in (a) or (b) can be used to address your device’s lack of sufficient remaining memory, then this means  that the “useful life” of your device has expired. Your lifetime subscription or other lifetime map subscription may not be transferred to another person or another Magellan device.  No refund can be made if you are not using your map update. Magellan may terminate your lifetime map subscription at any time if you violate any of the terms of this agreement or your subscription terms and conditions.
